1. If you have not already done so, set the volume control
to the lowest setting (turn it as far as it will go to the
right). The red dot on the control indicates the volume
which is set.
2. Place the earplug into the ear you want. Ensure that the
earplug fi ts correctly in your auditory canal and is not too
tight or loose. Either would reduce your ability to hear
or cause whistling. Change the attachment if necessary.
3. Carefully turn the volume control in increments in the
anticlockwise direction to increase the volume. Choose a
volume which is pleasant for you.
4. To turn off the device remove the battery from the de-
vice (see the "Inserting / Changing the Battery" chapter)

CAUTION!
❐ Do not clean the device under running water. No liquid
must be allowed to enter the device.
❐ Allow the earplugs to dry completely before you store
them away or place them back onto the device.
❐ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to
clean the earplugs or the device.
• If it is necessary to clean the device, you should use a
slightly damp cloth. Then dry it thoroughly using a dry
cloth.
• Clean the earplugs if necessary with the cleaning brush or
under running water with a little mild detergent. Allow
the earplugs to dry completely before you store them
away or place them back onto the device.
