1. Note
1.
Before you operate this hand mower, make sure
that you thoroughly read through the following
safety regulations as well as the operating
instructions.
2.
Never allow children or other persons who are
not familiar with the operating instructions to use
the mower. Contact your local governmental
agency for information regarding minimum age
requirements for operating the mower.
3.
Never mow in the direct vicinity of persons -
especially children - or animals.
4.
Always keep in mind that the operator is
responsible for accidents involving other
persons and/or their property.
5.
Always wear sturdy, non-slip footwear and long
trousers when mowing. Never mow barefoot or
in sandals.
6.
Check the grounds on which the machine will be
used and remove all objects that could be
caught up in and violently flung out of the
mower.
7.
Prior to using the mower, visually inspect it to
ensure that the cutting blades, mounting bolts
and the entire cutting apparatus are in good
working order (i.e. not worn out or damaged).
8.
Only mow in broad daylight or in well-lit
conditions.
9.
Always maintain good footing on inclines.
10. Only operate the machine at a walking pace.
11. Always mow across hills, i.e. never straight up
or straight down.
12. Always be extra careful when turning the mower
around and when pulling it towards you.
13. Do not mow on overly steep inclines.
14. Familiarize yourself with the operator controls
and proper operation of the machine.
15. Improper operation of the hand mower can lead
to serious injuries.
16. Note that the rotating cutting unit is a dangerous
mechanism and can inflict bodily injury. Always
ensure that a safe distance (provided by the
length of the long handles) is maintained
between the user and the cutting unit.
17. Never put your hands or feet on or under
rotating parts.

2. Proper operation

The hand mower is designed for cutting grass.
It is intended for private use, i.e. for use in home and
private gardening environments. Private use here
refers to the maintenance of small-scale, residential
areas and does not include public facilities, sporting
halls, or agricultural/forestry applications.
Caution! Due to the high risk of bodily injury to
the user, the hand mower may not be used to cut
climbing vegetation, lawns on roofs or grass in
balcony boxes.
3. Assembly
The V-shaped chassis bar (Figure 1, Item 1) must be
firmly affixed to the mounting bolts (Figure 1, Item 2)
on the housing. To do this, lightly press the V-shaped
chassis bar inward.
Then attach the push handle using the supplied
mounting parts as shown in Figure 2.

4. Setting the cutting height

To set the cutting height, first place the mower on
firm and even ground. Slacken the bolts (Figure 3,
Item 1) on both sides of the mower. The cutting
height can be infinitely adjusted by moving the
position of the roller up or down (Figure 4). After
adjustment, the roller must be parallel to the lower
knife blade. To lock the new setting of the roller,
tighten the two bolts (Figure 3/Item 1).
5. Setting the cutting unit
Ensure that the lower knife blade is correctly set prior
to use. The lower knife blade is adjusted by
slackening the adjustment bolts (Figure 3/Item 2) and
setting the desired position with the wheel selector
(Figure 3/Item 3). The lower blade should be set in
such a way that the knife cage just barely touches it.
The setting is correct if a piece of paper fed between
the knife spindle and the lower blade is cut (Figure 5)
while you rotate the spindle by hand.
