SCC-30AB is very rugged and designed for the most extreme operating conditions.
Most PV system problems will be caused by connections,Voltage drops, and loads.
Troubleshooting the SCC-30AB controller is simple. Some basic troubleshooting
procedures are listed below.

SYMPTOM 1. BATTERY IS NOT CHARGING
Check the Status LED. This should be ON if it is daytime.
Check that proper Battery Charging Algorithm (Program) has been selected by
DIP Switches 2, 3, 4 (Table 6.3).
Check that all wire connections in the system are correct and tight. Check the
polarity (+ and –) of the connections.

Input current exceeds 150% of the rated
current of 30A i.e. 45A
Heat sink temperature exceeds 90ºC
Auto-reset at 70°C
The CPU is not able to exchange data
with the Display Panel
1. The CPU is not able to exchange
data with the Display Panel.
2. Battery voltage is below 7V ± 0.2V
Auto-reset at 10V and above.
1. Low Battery Voltage:
< 9V for 12V Battery
< 18V for 24V Battery
2. If this symptom is for a 12V Battery
System, check & ensure that DIP
Switch 1 at the back of the unit is
selected for 12V battery and not
for 24V battery.
Auto-reset at 10V and above
Operating temperature is below -20ºC
(-4ºF). Ensure operating temperature is
above -20ºC (-4ºF).
