Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words
Danger symbol: This symbol indicates dangers of injury.
Read through the associated safety notices carefully and
follow them.

Intended Use
• The product is suitable for use as a torch and features three
diff erent modes (narrow light beam, wide light beam (180°),
fl ashing with alarm).
• The product is not a toy!
• The product is designed for personal use only and is not
intended for commercial applications.
• The product should only be used as described in the operating
instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■ Danger of suff ocation! Keep children and animals away from
plastic bags and fi lms.
■ Danger of dazzling! Never look directly into the light beam!
Never aim the light beam directly at other people or animals.
■ Danger of hearing damage! Do not operate the product near
your ears.
■ Danger of burns from battery acid!
– Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Batteries and the
product should therefore be kept out of the reach of children
and animals. If a battery is swallowed, immediate medical
attention must be sought.
– If a battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and
mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery
acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the aff ected areas
with abundant clear water straight away and seek medical
assistance immediately.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■ Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
■ Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
diff erent types or brands, or batteries with diff erent capacities.
When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
■ Remove the batteries when they are dead or if you will not be
using the product for a prolonged period. This will prevent any
damage caused by leaks.
■ Remove a leaking battery immediately.
■ Protect the product from heat, naked fl ames, sub-zero tem-
peratures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
■ The LEDs cannot be replaced.
■ Under no circumstances should you use any corrosive or abra-
sive cleaning agents or rough sponges to clean the product.
These may damage the surfaces.
■ Do not take the product apart and do not attempt to repair it.
Contact the customer service department if there is any damage.

Inserting / Changing Batteries
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the
product and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if neces-
