Replace the handle on the lifting pin and lift the
planing group as much as possible to remove it from
two worm screws. Remove the handle again and
extract the planing group from 4 cylindrical
guides (Pic. 18).
Ease the belt off the small pulley by using side
pressure and rotating the spindle at the same time
(Pic.19).
IMPORTANT! as the spindle houses the blades it is
recommended that suitable gloves are used.
CAUTION! Care should be taken to ensure that
fingers do not become trapped between the belt and
pulley. Fitting the new belt is a reversal of the above
procedure. Ensure that all the grooves in the belt
are located in the grooves in both pulleys.
Now replace the planing group and top cover
together with two lateral covers, inverting the
operations, and ensure that all the screws are
tightened.
IMPORTANT
NOTE: As a precaution when first starting the
machine after belt or blade replacement, allow the
machine to run for 5-10 seconds before use. If the
machine makes an unusual noise or vibrates,
stop the machine immediately and investigate the
cause.
