HOW TO OPERATE YOUR 8650D COMPRESSOR

1. Make sure the power cord is unplugged from
wall-outlet power source.
Explosion Hazard. Do not operate in the
presence of flammable anesthetics.
2. Refer to Important Parts of Your 8650D
Compressor for part identification.
3. Place the 8650D compressor on a flat surface in
a position allowing for adequate air flow from
the rear of the device.
4. For disposable nebulizer use, thread the optional
tubing connector to either the compressor air
outlet or optional extension tube, then attach
one end of nebulizer tubing Figure 1
or Figure 2.
NOTE—Follow specific instructions provided by
physician for set up of both nebulizer
and medication.
CAUTION—During high-humidity weather conditions,
condensation water build-up can occur
in the internal motor hose of the
compressor. It is recommended that the
8650D be turned on and run for two
minutes before the nebulizer/tubing is
connected to the compressor.
5. For high output humidification, thread the
bottle adapter directly to the extension tube air
outlet Figure 3.
6. Before plugging in the power cord, make sure
the power switch is in the "Off" position by
pressing on the bottom half of the switch
Figure 4. Plug the power cord into a properly
grounded wall-outlet power source.
Ground reliability can only be achieved when
the power cord is connected to an equivalent
receptacle marked "Hospital Grade."
