13.5 Fire-resistant cable / pipe bulkhead

The doubler plates are comprised of coated, non-metallic, plate-shaped components, which
are painted light grey (similar to RAL 7035) on both the inside and outside. The edges are in a
different colour.
•
The fire insulation properties are achieved by processing fire protection panels to DIN 4102
•
Provided they are installed in the proper manner, the cable / pipe bulkhead has a fire
resistance rating of more than 30 or 90 minutes and is smoke-tight in the presence of
(smouldering) cable fires.
•
The information contained in this manual should be strictly observed to ensure that the
product and the cable entry are handled correctly.
•
Max. cable occupancy: 60%
Scope of supply
•
3x doubler plate 200 x 200 mm, with central through-hole Ø135 mm and
fixing holes in the four corners
•
12x fixing / countersunk head screw 4.5 x 70 mm
•
2x firestop plug Ø 134 mm
•
1x firestop silicone cartridge

The position of the cable / pipe bulkhead (on our products) should be
•
determined on site, taking the dimensions of the doubler plate into account
•
Drill a Ø 135 mm hole with a core drill (see Figure 1)
•
The doubler plates can be used as a marking template
•
Smooth the drilled hole with sandpaper (CAUTION: The edges are sharp)
•
Mark and drill Ø 3.5 x 35 mm pilot holes on site for fixing the doubler plates (see Figure 2)
