1. Intended Use and Operating Limitations
The dispenser should be used for QuikRead buffers only.
When used correctly, the dispensed liquid comes into contact with the following
materials:
Borosilicate glass, FEP, ETFE, PFA, PTFE, Platinum-Iridium.

2. Safety Instructions

This Manual does not purport to address every safety issue which may arise during
use. It is the user's responsibility to consult and establish appropriate safety and health
practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
1. Read this manual carefully and follow step by step.
2. Observe QuikRead reagent instructions supplied with each reagent kit. Ensure that
the assay needs 1 ml buffer solution and that the QuikRead 1 ml Dispenser is used.
3. Follow the general instructions for hazard prevention and safety regulations,
e. g., wear protective clothing, eye protection and gloves.
4. Use the dispenser only for dispensing buffers as part of the QuikRead system.
To avoid contamination of the buffers, use a separate dispenser for each type of
QuikRead assay.
5. Never use force on the dispenser.
6. While dispensing, the discharge tube must always point away from the user or
other persons. Avoid splashes. Only dispense into suitable vessels.
7. Inspect the dispenser and its discharge tube regularly to detect any leakage.
8. Clean the dispenser regularly to ensure its smooth operation.
9. Use only original parts and accessories from the manufacturer. Do not carry out
any technical alterations.
10. Clean the instrument before disassembling.
11. In case of diffi culty (e.g., piston moves stiffl y, leakage), immediately stop
dispensing. Follow the Troubleshooting (chapter 8).
