Priming and Painting
Prior to painting or decorating the finished ceiling surfaces,
apply a prime coat following the manufacturer's directions.
Important – insure the cardboard overspray protector
provided with the rimless adapter is in place to keep paint
overspray away from housing platform interior. Hint – when
applying primer or paint with a sprayer, mask the (4) foam
gaskets.

Apply the primer coat following the manufacturer's
directions and warnings.
2.
Apply the finish coats following the manufacturer's
directions and warnings.
3.
Allow the finish coats to dry overnight. Remove
the cardboard overspray protector and complete
fixture installation following directions provided with
housing platform, lamp module and optical elements.
Hint – remove any excess paint on the inside corners of
the bead prior to installing the optical element.

Optional Gasketing
Gaskets can be applied to the collar before installing the
trim for a snug fit. Apply the gasket to the inner surface
of the collar such that it sits on top of the rimless adapter
(Figure 11.). The gaskets are designed to interlock at the
corners. Apply all four gaskets before installing the trim.
