When connecting or disconnecting the connection cable of the head up display with the

When laying the cables, ensure that these are not squashed or scraped on sharp edges.
Use rubber grommets at cable insert points for penetrations.
When laying the connection cable, make sure that no safety-related equipment (such as
side air bags) is affected. The cable may not be laid within triggering range of the fully-
expanded air bag.
• Connect the connecting lead provided to the OBD socket (1) at the head up display.
• Lay the connection cable provided all the way to the OBD diagnosis socket of the vehicle. This socket is
usually located in the leg area or near the fuse box on the driver's side of the vehicle.
• Insert the OBD plug of the connection cable into the OBD diagnosis socket of the vehicle.
• Start the engine and switch on the head up display with the on/off switch (2) (move switch to position ON).
• If the head up display shows the engine speed and the moving speed, it was recognised correctly.
• If only the onboard voltage is shown, please make sure that the connection cable is correctly connected to
the OBD diagnosis socket of the vehicle and to the OBD interface (1) at the head up display. Then, switch
the device off and on again (move on/off switch (2) into position OFF and then back to ON). If the only the
onboard voltage is shown again, your vehicle does not have a suitable OBD diagnosis socket.
