The cooling unit with multicontroller has an operation indicator with an
LED and LCD in the outside hood of the unit. The LED is continuously
illuminated in error-free operation. If an error occurs, the LED blinks.
The following information is displayed on the LCD:
1) The temperature of the regulating sensor, including the tempera-
ture unit (°C/°F) in the normal operating state.
2) Alternating with 1) and, if applicable, 3) the version of the energy
function (display: En) or stop mode (StoP).
3) Alternating with 1) and, if applicable, 2) the error number(s) (dis-
play: ErXX) if an error occurs.
The following settings can be made with the operating panel:

3.1 Door contact

In order to prevent excessive accumulation of condensate and for safety
reasons, a door contact switch should be connected to the terminals
provided for this purpose (refer to the circuit diagram on the enclosure
lid or in the separate technical data sheet).

Opening the door of the switch cabinet, and thus opening the
switch, then results in all of the motors of the cooling unit being shut
down immediately. The door contact is supplied with low voltage
(<20V, 20 mA) from the cooling unit.
In order to avoid interference, it is recommended to use a shielded
cable with pairs of twisted leads. The shielding can be attached to
one end, on the functional earth
for this purpose.
If it is not possible to use shielded cable, care should be taken
when installing the cable so that it is not laid in the immediate
vicinity of potential sources of interference (e.g. power supply
lines, components with electromagnetic emissions).
Caution! No other source of current may be connected.
If no door contact switch is used, the connecting contacts
must be bridged.
3.2 Collective fault signal
Two connecting contacts are available for connecting the fault signal
cable (see connection diagram). The fault signalling contact is po-
tential-free (NC contact).
No special requirements apply to the manner in which the fault signal
cable is laid.
Caution! The contact may be subjected to a maximum
load of 230 V, 1A.
3.3 Multimaster
The cooling mode of the cooling unit that reaches the switching
threshold (TSet + 2K) fi rst is initiated in the multimaster confi guration.
All cooling units connected to the multimaster bus switch to cooling
mode. The cooling mode is ended by the unit that undercuts the
switching threshold (TSet – 2K).
With all cooling units that are operated together by a multimaster
controller, the version of the energy saving function is switched off
by the cooling prompt of one of the units from the group. After the
last cooling prompt, the cooling units switch back to energy saving
function after the lapse of the adjusted delay time.
Two connecting contacts (input and output side) are available for
connecting the multimaster cables (see connection diagram).
The contacts are supplied with low voltage (<20V, 20mA) from the
cooling unit.
Caution! No other source of current may be connected.
In order to avoid interference, it is recommended to use a shielded
cable with pairs of twisted leads. The cable shield can be applied
at both ends on the cooling units to be connected (terminals for
functional earth
).
If it is not possible to use shielded cable, care should be taken
when installing the cable so that it is not laid in the immediate
vicinity of potential sources of interference (e.g. power supply
lines, components with electromagnetic emissions).
Up to 6 units may be connected via the bus.
