WARRANTY
The NCV3 is warranted to be free from defects in materials
and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of
purchase. If within the warranty period your instrument should
become inoperative from such defects, the unit will be repaired
or replaced at UEi's option. This warranty covers normal use
and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or
failure which results from alteration, tampering, accident,
misuse, abuse, neglect or improper maintenance. Batteries and
consequential damage resulting from failed batteries are not
covered by warranty.
Any implied warranties, including but not limited to implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
purpose, are limited to the express warranty. UEi shall not be
liable for loss of use of the instrument or other incidental or
consequential damages, expenses, or economic loss, or for any
claim or claims for such damage, expenses or economic loss.
A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date
will be required before warranty repairs will be rendered.
Instruments out of warranty will be repaired (when repairable)
for a service charge.

WARNING
Read entire Safety Notes section regarding potential hazard
and proper instructions before using this unit. In this manual the
word "WARNING" is used to indicate conditions or actions that
may pose physical hazards to the user. The word "CAUTION"
is used to indicate conditions or actions that may damage this
instrument.
• Do not use the unit to detect an AC voltage below 24V AC or
above 1,000V AC. Do not use the unit for DC voltage
detection.
• If there are several lines, such as 2-phase wires or 3-phase
wires, separate them far enough apart from each other and
perform detection on each line.
• Because the unit's range and distance can affect detection
alerts, the object under test may be live even if the visual
and audible alerts do not activate. To avoid electric shock
and personal injury, do not touch non-insulated conductor
with hand or skin.
• Due to interference caused by the electric field in the
environment, the unit may give an alarm even if the object
under test does not contain AC voltage.
• Do not use the unit if it is damaged or operates abnormally.
• Do not use the unit for detection on any shielded conductor.
• NCV3 may alarm near objects with static charge or iron
objects near an AC current.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Turn On: • Press button to turn on.
• Single "beep" and steady Green LED indicates ready.

• Worklight: Press button for 1~2 seconds to activate or
deactivate.
• Auto power off: Powers down after 5 minutes of non-use
to save battery life.
Battery Replacement: When turning on, if Green LED is dim,
blinking or does not light, this indicates immediate battery
replacement needed.
To replace battery, remove cover as indicated below. Remove old
batteries and dispose of properly. Install 2 new (AAA), observing
proper polarity. Replace cover.

El NCV3 está garantizado a no tener defectos en materiales
y fabricación por un periodo de uno año a partir de la fecha
de compra. Si dentro del periodo de garantía el instrumento
quedara inoperante debido a tales defectos, se reparará la
unidad o se sustituirá, a opción de UEi. Esta garantía cubre el
uso normal y no cubre daños que ocurran en el envío o fallas
resultantes de alteraciones, modificaciones, accidentes, uso
indebido, maltrato, negligencia o mantenimiento indebido. Las
baterías y el daño consecuente resultante de baterías falladas
no están cubiertos por la garantía.
