System Start/Stop Operation

The inline control is factory calibrated to turn on the pump when the detected system pressure drops below
22 psi (1.5 bar) or it measures a flow demand of 0.25 gpm (1 L/min). If either event is measured by the sys-
tem, the control should turn on the pump. The pump must produce 20 psi (1.4 bar) beyond the low pressure
activation point of 22 psi. For example, if the pump starts on a low pressure of 22 psi, the pump shut-off
pressure must be greater than 42 psi (2.9 bar).
Additionally, to ensure that the low pressure cut-in functions properly, the maximum vertical distance
between the pump and the highest discharge outlet should be limited to 50 feet (15 m).
For further Inline Control information, refer to the Inline Control Owner's Manual #998075003.
Automatic Restart
In the event of a run dry situation, the device will automatically make 10 attempts to restart over the next 24
hours at various set time intervals. Each attempt lasts approximately 5 seconds to allow for prime, if
required. After an unsuccessful 24-hour period, the red LED will blink and you must press the "Restart" but-
ton to perform a manual reset.
NOTE: In the event of a power outage, the device will automatically reset after power is restored.

Troubleshooting

In most situations, the pump is directly above the water source. This allows the inline control to be used with
surface pump. Even though the inline control has a built-in check valve, you must install appropriate check
valves or a foot valve to ensure the suction line holds water for continued priming and operation.
Additional troubleshooting information is found in the separate pump and inline control owner's manuals.

Water System Plumbing Leaks:
All water leaks within the plumbing system should be corrected for optimal performance of the system. If
water leaks cannot be corrected or mitigated, to prevent frequent pump starts, an optional pressurized
bladder expansion tank should be installed with an internal water draw down capacity capable of support-
ing the pump start frequency desired. The air pressure charge of this tank should be set to roughly the same
as the system's working pressure.
