Introduction

1 I n t r o d u c t i o n
1.1

General information

This operating manual is valid for drinking water storage tanks in the EcoStock series and is supplied with such
tanks. The manual covers installation, operation and maintenance.
This manual has been written for qualified engineers who are authorised to work in the relevant areas of
responsibility. They must have the necessary expertise and be informed about the applicable accident
prevention measures.
Before commencing installation, read this manual carefully, including the safety instructions and the information
about installation and commissioning. This will prevent damage to your system through improper handling.
Non-observation of the safety instructions can lead to personal injury, property damage and environmental
contamination.
The information and recommendations provided do not claim to be exhaustive. All applicable directives,
standards and regulations must be observed when conducting installation activities and operating a solar power
system.
The current version of the General Terms and Conditions applies.
1.2

Intended purpose

The storage tanks in the EcoStock series can be used in existing heating systems or heating systems to be
newly installed. They are solely designed to heat process water as defined by the German Drinking Water
Ordinance.
Any improper use or non-authorised modifications to the installation method, installation process or the design
shall void any liability and warranty claims.
1.3

Safety

The general safety instructions and warnings are a key part of this manual and are of fundamental importance
for handling the product.
This icon warns against damage to property and personal injury.
Caution!
Risk of burns and scalding!
As temperatures of > 60°C can arise in the storage tanks, there is a risk of scalding and a
potential risk of burns from the connections and components.
Caution!
Do not touch hot components.
The storage tanks in the BR, BRR and BRR-F series are designed using state of the art technology and in
accordance with recognised safety standards. Despite this, their use can pose a risk to life and limb for the user
or third parties or a risk of damage to the product and other material assets.
Only operate the storage tank in perfect technical condition.
In the event of safety-related faults, immediately switch off the product and instruct a qualified engineer to
eliminate the fault.
