When the control LED in the unit does not light, the in-plug fuse
can be defective. To change the fuse proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the Portable Equipment Vehicle Adapter from the
supply battery and from the load.
- Unscrew the safety cap from the cigar lighter plug
- Remove the blown fuse and replace it by a new fuse of the same
type and blow characteristics
- Screw the safety cap onto the plug.

Disposal

Dispose of an unusable, defective Portable Equipment Vehicle Ad-
apter (irreparable, no indication even with new battery) in accor-
dance with applicable statutory regulations.

Maintenance

The converter is maintenance-free other than changing the fuse
and the occasional cleaning of the case, ventilation openings/coo-
ling fins and connecting cables. For cleaning, use a clean, dry, anti-
static and lint-free cleaning cloth.
Use no carbonaceous cleaners, petrols, alcohols or
similar for cleaning. The surface of the converter
can be attacked by this. In addition, the fumes are
explosive and damaging to health. Do not use any
sharp-edged tools, screw drivers, metal brushes or
similar for cleaning.
