Lighting the Denali tent stove
Source dry timber to prevent the generation of excess smoke and to
minimize the heat lost drying out wet fuel.
Before ignition, the baffle control located on the stovepipe must be placed
in a vertical position. After ignition, the baffle control can be adjusted for
combustion control and wood consumption.
Start the fire using old newspaper and thin kindling then progressively
add larger pieces of timber as the fire becomes stronger.
After approx. 30 minutes (this time can be reduced with practice)
you are ready to cook.
To boil water or to achieve maximum heat it is best to remove the top plate
and thereby exposing the bottom of the pan/pot directly to the flames.
Once boiled, you can slide the pan/pot to the back of the cooking surface
to stay warm while you place another pan/pot directly over the flames on
the front of the stove.
For all cooking, we recommend that the front door is locked in the slightly
open position allowing air flow to the timber but also stopping any timber
falling out.
When the second pan is up to temperature put the top plate cover back
into place and allow both pans to simmer on the stove.
We recommend using a stick or poker to operate the door and lifting the
top plate cover on and off as these get very hot during use.
Maintenance
Dismantle and clean only once the stove is cold. We recommend you clean
the stove carefully after every use (including the inside of the flue). When
possible wipe over with an oily rag to prolong life and resistance to corrosion.
Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the tent stove.
Wipe surfaces clean with mild dishwashing detergent.
Rinse clean with water and allow to dry thoroughly before storing or re-use.
Cautions and Warnings
Read these warnings before use:
1. Introducing a fuel-burning device into any tent is hazardous and requires
care and attention. We also strongly advise that the following precautions
be followed:
The minimum length of the stovepipe should match the height of the apex
of the tent and the tent fabric around the stovepipe port/outlet should be
protected from the hot flue by the flue protector.
2. Do not place the stove on the groundsheet – this should be folded back
before positioning the stove directly under the tent's stovepipe outlet to aid
stability and the efficient removal of fumes. The stove should be installed on
level, firm ground to ensure stability when used.
3. Do not use a stove unless inner tents are removed.
4. Avoid sparks or falling embers when the fire door is open.
5. Always keep the tent well ventilated to replenish the air used by the stove
during combustion and remove water vapour.
6. Due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning a lit stove should only be
used in a well-ventilated area.
7. Never leave a fire unattended and keep a bucket with water to hand in
case of emergency. If using additional firefighting equipment, like fire
extinguisher and fire blanket, ensure they are suitable, are within the
operational dates and that you know how to use them correctly. Operate to
all campsite rules and be aware of any 'In case of fire' instructions in force.
8. Do not use any other form of open fire or barbecue inside a tent for
heating, lighting or cooking for these lead to an increased risk from fire
and carbon monoxide poisoning. The use of fire in or around any tent is
extremely dangerous and is carried out at your own risk. In no event shall
we be liable for any damages, including consequential damages to property,
health or life whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse
of fire in or around this product.

ROBENS DENALI ZELTOFEN
Um Schäden zu vermeiden und das Brandrisiko zu verringern, empfehlen wir,
einen vorhandenen Robens Zeltboden immer zurückzurollen oder zusammen-
zufalten, sodass der Denali Zeltofen direkt auf dem Boden steht. Sollte dies
nicht möglich sein, empfehlen wir, den Ofen auf eine Matte aus feuerfestem
Material (z. B. eine Löschdecke) zu stellen, um Schäden durch Funken oder
Asche aus der Brennkammer zu vermeiden.
Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass sich geeignete Hilfsmittel zum Löschen
eines Feuers in unmittelbarer Reichweite befinden und löschen Sie das
Feuer unbedingt, bevor Sie das Zelt verlassen oder schlafen gehen.
Zusammenbau des Denali Zeltofens
Inhalt:
Ofen (1 Stck.)
Ofenrohr (8 Stck.)
Rohrschutz (1 Stck.)
Funkenfang (1 Stck.)
Kette (1 Stck.)
Haken (2 Stck.)
1. Entnehmen Sie die Teile des Ofenrohrs aus der Brennkammer.
Drehen Sie den Ofen mit der Oberseite nach unten und lösen Sie die drei
Stützbeine. Stellen Sie den Ofen im Zelt ebenerdig auf den Stützbeinen auf
(Nicht direkt auf dem Zeltboden!).
2. Stecken Sie die acht Teile des Ofenrohrs zusammen und achten Sie auf
einen festen Sitz. Besonders bei der Verwendung des Ofens in einem Zelt ist es
wichtig, dass die Teile des Ofenrohrs fest und sicher ineinander gesteckt sind.
Führen Sie nun den Rohrschutz von oben über das Ofenrohr und platzieren
Sie den Funkenfang am oberen Ende des Rohrs. Der Funkenfang wird an
den Ösen mittels der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Kette an den Ösen des
Rohrschutzes befestigt.
3. Schieben Sie das zusammengesteckte Ofenrohr durch die hierfür
vorgesehene Öffnung oben im Überzelt Ihres Robens Zeltes.
4. WARNUNG - der Zeltstoff muss zwischen den beiden Markierungen
der Schutzhülse am Ofenrohr sitzen. NICHT MIT DEM OFENROHR IN
BERÜHRUNG KOMMEN LASSEN.
5. Stecken Sie das untere Ende des Ofenrohrs dann fest auf den Auslass
der Denali Zeltofen-Brennkammer. Bringen Sie die Ofenrohrabdeckung in
eine vertikale Position.
