7.3.6 Load distribution

wrong
right
A small example: You are building a table with four lifting
columns. Each lifting column can bear 1000N. Thus, the lift-
ing columns together must bear a load Fmax = 4000N, if the
load is symmetrically in the centre of the table. If the load
moves into a corner of the table, then the lifting column has
to bear almost the entire load of 4000N under this corner.
This would lead inexorably to overload. Even at the planning
stage of your application, pay attention not only to the total
load, but also the load on the individual lifting columns.

7.4 Installation

Fixing and attachment options:
4 grooves 1 are available for fixing the lifting column or var-
2
ious attachments. M6 DIN 562 square nuts can be inserted
into these grooves.
There are 4 × M6 tappings for installing a table frame or
table plate on the upper ring 2 and 4 × M8 tappings in the
baseplate 3.
The maximum bolt depth for the M6 bolts in the upper ring
is 10 mm and in the baseplate for M8 bolts the same 10 mm;
the recommended torque for the M6 tappings is 10 Nm max.
and for the M8 tappings 15 Nm max.
For guaranteed rigidity, it is essential to stipulate an adequa-
tely dimensioned foundation to absorb the stated maximum
compressive and tensile forces and the torque loading (see
Chapter 6.2).
Motorised design
When connecting the controllers (optional extras), refer to
the description on the maker's plate for this RK
lift.
Slim
Limit switches
The RK
lift is fitted with two limit switches. These pre-

provided for the RK
lift. When using other controllers or

with a direct power supply, the lifting columns can drive be-
yond the limit switches, and cause serious damage.
