Connection and start-up

Start the file only with an inserted tool
and while the valve is off!
Prior to connecting the hose, blow through it to
remove any dirt!
Assemble the maintenance unit (D1 – D3) in the
following sequence: water trap (D1) - pressure
controller (D2) - aerosol lubricator (D3).
At the maintenance unit, set the operating pressure
to max. 6 bar. Check oil level and add oil, if
necessary.
Set the maintenance unit to an air lubrication rate of
2 to 3 drops of oil per minute.
Connect the pneumatic file (A) with attached hose
kit (B) with the one-hand coupling (C) to the
maintenance unit (D1 - D3).

Stroke length adjustment FR 5-8
The stroke length of the pneumatic straight file can be
adjusted steplessly from 0 to 5 mm by means of an
eccentric (factory setting: 3 mm).
Before adjusting the length for the first time, observe the
following instructions:
The retaining ring inside the device housing can be seen
through the borehole (X) (see fig. 3) at the rear of the
straight file. Insert a Phillips screwdriver through the
borehole and push it in until the screwdriver engages in
the toothing of the retaining ring.
Turn the retaining ring to adjust the stroke length. Due to
the eccentric, it is adjusted in a wave-type manner (the
tool spindle is moved forward and back, depending on its
initial position). The nose of the tool spindle (W) serves as
a reference point. Move the nose forward (away from the
motor) to extend the stroke length. Move it back (towards
the motor) to reduce the stroke length. After completion of
the adjustment, remove the screwdriver.
