3 Insert the crank in the mechanism on the pole.
4 Turn the crank clockwise until the fabric is slightly taut.
The canopy opens.
5 Turn the crank to the stop.

If the crank is turned past the stop, the gear may be damaged.
6 Remove the crank from the pole and keep it in a safe place.
