Installation/setup

b) Wall mounting
• Fold in the stand on the back of the device and hang the device up on a nail or screw.
• There is an eyelet for hanging, on the back of the device.
c) Outdoor sensor
• Lay the cable of the outdoor sensor outside, e.g., through a window frame.
• Take care that the connecting cable is not squeezed or damaged in any other way.
Inserting/replacing batteries
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the housing and insert a battery of type 1.5 V AAA/Micro
with the correct polarity.
• The correct polarity is indicated inside the battery compartment.
• After inserting the battery, the device operates again. Close the battery compartment again.
• The battery must be replaced, if the contrast on the display fades or the display no longer functions.
If the display once shows jumbled characters or some other malfunction, remove the battery and
insert it again after few seconds.
Operation
The sensors for the indoor thermometer and the hygrometer are located inside the housing
and thus display the values for the interior of the housing. Therefore, to obtain more accurate
measured values do not hold the device in your hand or stand/hang it near a heat source,
instead stand/hang it in an open area. The measurement display needs about 15 to 30 minutes
to stabilise and to display accurate values.
• In normal operation, the display changes between indoor/outdoor temperature and indoor temperature/
humidity. The min-max values to the respective display also appear.
• Press the RESET key to reset the min-max values and start a new recording of extreme value.
• To turn off the permanent change of the display, press the AUTO SWITCH, while the desired indication
appears. Press the key AUTO SWITCH again to turn on the display change again.
• Press the °C/°F key to change the display unit for the temperature values.
Care and cleaning
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these could dam-
age the enclosure or even impair operation.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Do not press too much on the display when wiping it clean.
