LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO

la máscara.
CASCO: Lave a mano el casco en agua caliente utilizando un detergente suave. Una vez terminado el lavado,
aclare y deje secar al aire.
NOTA: Inspeccione la máscara a diario o antes de cada uso. En el caso de que los orificios de la máscara estén
obstruidos, esta tenga alguna parte dañada o la almohadilla de gel presente perforaciones o roturas, cambie
la máscara.
NOTA: A pesar de su tacto sedoso, la almohadilla de gel no se romperá, no tendrá fugas ni se separará de
la máscara en circunstancias de uso normales. La almohadilla de gel no es indestructible, por lo que puede
romperse, sufrir cortes y desgarrase si está sometida a un uso indebido.

L'Ascend Full Face Vented Mask (masque facial ventilé Ascend) est conçu pour être utilisé avec des systèmes
de ventilation à pression positive, par exemple ceux à ventilation en pression positive continue (CPAP) ou de
ventilation à double niveau de pression égale ou supérieure à 3 cm H
patients adultes (>30 kg) auxquels une thérapie de ventilation à pression positive a été prescrite. Le masque est
prévu pour une utilisation sur un seul patient dans un environnement domestique, hospitalier ou institutionnel.
h Le système de masque ne contient pas de PVC, de DEHP ni de phthalates. Si le patient présente une
réaction QUELCONQUE à tout élément du système de masque, interrompez immédiatement son
utilisation.
h Ce produit est fabriqué sans latex de caoutchouc naturel.
h Un port d'expiration est intégré à ce masque, donc aucun port d'expiration séparé n'est nécessaire.
h Le masque comporte une valve anti-asphyxie pour réduire la réinspiration d'air expiré en cas de mauvais
fonctionnement du système à pression positive.
h La loi fédérale américaine n'autorise la vente de cet appareil que sur ordonnance ou par un médecin.
h Ne pas exposer le masque à des températures dépassant 60˚C (140˚F).
h Le masque est prévu pour UTILISATION SUR UN SEUL PATIENT. Il peut être nettoyé et utilisé
plusieurs fois sur la même personne, mais ne doit pas être utilisé sur plusieurs personnes. Ne pas
stériliser ni désinfecter.

9. Turn head from side to side while lying on the bed and identify areas of leak that may prevent sleep.
10. If there are leaks, adjust the headgear straps closest to the area of leak.
11. If leaks persist, try moving the mask higher or lower around the nose to find the best fit.
12. Unhook the headgear from the mask assembly by pulling back on the velcro tabs.
13. Separate the cushion from the mask frame by gently squeezing the cushion ring (not the AIRogel
cushion) near the left and right alignment pins while pulling away from the mask. (Figure 10)
14. Remove the mask and the headgear from the package.
15. Place the headgear on a table, label side down with the narrowest part close to you.
16. Set the mask with the gel side down onto the center of the headgear.
17. Take each headgear strap and connect it to its respective location on the mask by looping the
Velcro
strap through the headgear slots and attaching it back to itself.

18. Ensure the cushion is oriented correctly by aligning all three alignment pins with the notches
located in the three corners of the mask. (Figure 11)
19. Gently push the cushion alignment pins into the notches. Make sure that the Support Tabs stay
outside the Mask Shell.
20. Inspect to make sure that each pin is pushed completely into the notch. (Figure 12)
21. Once the headgear and cushion have been properly attached to the mask, follow the fitting tips
below to fit the mask.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning is recommended on a daily basis. Disassemble the mask cushion according to the disassembly
instructions. Hand wash the mask and components in warm water using a mild detergent. Rinse the mask
thoroughly after washing. Visually verify that the vent holes are clear and allow the mask to air dry. When the
mask and cushion are dry, reassemble according to the reassembly instructions. Washing your face prior to
fitting the mask will remove excess facial oils and help extend the life of the mask.
HEADGEAR: Hand wash the headgear in warm water using mild detergent. Rinse after washing and allow to
air dry.
NOTE: Inspect mask daily or prior to each use. Replace the mask if vent holes are blocked, if parts are
damaged, or if gel cushion has tears or punctures.
NOTE: The gel cushion, although silky to the touch, will not tear, leak, or detach from the mask under normal
use. The gel cushion is not indestructible. It will tear, cut, and rip if subjected to mishandling or abuse.

La Ascend Full Face Vented Mask (máscara facial completa de ventilación Ascend) ha sido diseñada para ser
utilizada con sistemas de presión positiva, como PPC o sistemas de funcionamiento binivel a una presión igual

O. El uso de esta máscara está reservado a pacientes adultos (> 30 kg) a los que se les
