Operation
Check the device for damage before using it for the first time. If there are any signs of damage,
do not use the device and consult an expert or our customer service.
a) Charging the battery
Fully charge the built-in rechargeable battery before first use.
Before charging the internal battery, ensure that the USB power source (at least USB 3.0) can
deliver a sufficient charging current, otherwise you may damage the product. Do not use a USB
port on a computer, keyboard or USB hub to charge the internal battery, as the current supplied
by these ports is not sufficient. For example, use a USB power supply with 800 mA of output
current.
The product is only splashproof if the protective cover of the Micro-USB socket is tightly closed.
If the protective cover is removed, you will need to protect the product from humidity and
moisture.
• Recharge the internal battery at the latest when it is almost discharged (one bar of the battery status
indicator (4) flashes).
• Open the protective cover (16).
• Connect the Micro-USB socket (16) via the included USB charging cable (10) with a suitable USB power
source.
• On a nearly empty battery, charging takes approx. 5 hours. The battery status indicator flashes during
charging (4). The battery status indicator's bars indicate the battery charge level. Once charging is
complete, the battery status indicator's 3 bars are lit permanently red.
• Disconnect the USB charging cable.
• After charging, close the Micro-USB socket with the protective cover completely to ensure the product is
dust and splashproof.
b) Power on/off
• Press and hold the
button (5) for approx. 2 seconds to switch the headlamp on or off.
• When switched on, the headlamp automatically switches to the previously set light mode.
c) Selecting a light mode
• Briefly press the
button (6) to select one of the 4 light modes:
Light Mode 1: Activate broad light beam (9); for focused long-distance sight
Light Mode 2: Activate small light beam (8); for wide long-distance sight
Light Mode 3: Activate both light beams (8, 9); for combined long-distance sight
Light Mode 4: Activate scattered light (7); for wide short-distance sight
The light modes differ in light flux, light ON time and range. The values given in this table are guide values.

• Briefly press the
button to change the brightness step-by-step.

f) Checking the battery status
• Turn the headlamp on.
• Set the highest brightness level. The battery status indicator (4) blinks and shows the battery charge state
for approx. 2 seconds. The more bars light up, the more the rechargeable battery is charged.
1 bar flashes: 0 - 33 % remaining battery capacity
2 bars flash: 33 - 66 % remaining battery capacity
3 bars flash: 66 - 99 % remaining battery capacity
3 bars permanently lit: 100 % battery capacity
• The battery status indicator turns off automatically after a short period of time.
• Turn off the headlamp.
g) Use with the headband
