§ Mount the male/female plug-in connectors on the
cable as described below.
Notes:
– Follow the instructions for installing the male/female
connectors. Strip 20 mm of the casing from the
cable, and then strip 4 mm of insulation from the
individual wires.
– Solder wires to terminals carefully.
– Mount the female (series QCT and QAT equipment)
or male connector (Combics models) on the load
cell/platform cable. Max. distance from the terminal
or indicator when used in legal metrology: 40 cm.
Mount the male connector (QCT, QAT) or the female
connector (Combics) on the terminal/indicator cable.
Maximum cable length between terminal/indicator
and load cell/platform: 150 m/mm
– A1-kO fixed resistor is required for the protective
circuit in the QCT, QAT or Combics (see also the
installation instructions for the QCT01, QAT01 or
Combics). The resistor is soldered on between the
TK-IN2 and TS_GND lines, and insulated (e.g., with
heat shrink tubing). Position the insulated resistor in
the connector when installing the connector.
The resistor is already soldered on to the cable ends
in the QCT01 and QAT01 terminals. Please use this
resistor.
– Lay all wires in the braided shield over the tapered
ring and affix them with the threaded fastener to
establish the ground connection.
