Control Panel

The following are descriptions of the controls used to operate a
Gas Crepe Maker. All controls are located on the control panel
at the front of the unit.
Ignition Button
The piezoelectric Ignition Button ignites the gas burner below
the griddle. Pushing the button creates a spark that ignites the
gas burner.
Temperature Control
The Temperature Control controls the temperature setting/
gas flow into the unit. Turn the Temperature Control
counterclockwise to increase the temperature setting. Turn the
Temperature Control clockwise to decrease the temperature
setting. Push in the Temperature Control to supply gas when
lighting a burner. The temperature range of the unit is indicated
on the control as settings 1–10 (up to 570°F [300°C]).
NOTE: Gas crepe makers are equipped with a heat-activated
safety thermocouple that will cut off gas supply to the
unit if the burner flame goes out accidentally.

Seasoning the Griddle(s)

Use the following procedure to season the cast iron griddle(s)
before using the Crepe Maker for the first time. This procedure

area—preferably underneath an extraction hood. A
substantial amount of smoke will be generated, which
is normal.
1. Perform the "Lighting a Burner" procedure in this section.
BURN HAZARD:
• Some exterior surfaces on unit will get hot. Avoid
unnecessary contact with unit.
• Do not come in contact with griddle during operation.
Griddle is very hot.
2. Turn the Temperature Control counterclockwise to
temperature setting "6".

procedure.
3. Allow the unit to preheat fully.
4. Pour a teaspoon of vegetable-based cooking oil onto the
