Connection
When making the connections, make sure that the connecting cables are not pinched or
damaged by sharp edges.
The input may be connected only to low-level audio outputs of audio devices.
Before connecting, make sure that the values specifi ed for input sensitivity and input
impedance in the technical data coincide with the data of the connected audio device.
Otherwise, the subwoofer module or the audio device can be damaged.
The device to which the subwoofer module is connected must be switched off while
making the connections.
• Connect the LINE IN (2) connection with the low level audio output of your audio amplifi er. Use the shielded
cinch cable for this.
• Use an audio output which is infl uenced by the loudspeaker control of the audio amplifi er; otherwise, the
volume ratios between subwoofer and satellite loudspeakers would deviate during volume changes.
• The white jack is connected to the left output and the red jack to the right output.

Mains Connection

The mains socket to which the device is connected must be easily accessible, so that it
can be quickly isolated from the mains voltage in the event of a fault.
The subwoofer module and all connected devices must be turned off when connecting
the voltage supply.
Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between the different
devices and any extension cables comply with the regulations and comply with the op-
erating instructions.
• Plug the power plug of the power supply cable into a wall socket.
• The POWER switch (7) is used to switch the device on or off.
Position O: The mains power supply is turned off.
Position I: The mains power supply is turned on.
• The POWER MODE switch (6) is used to turn the device on/off or to activate the autotimer.
STANDBY position:
The device is switched off (Standby mode).
AUTO position:
The device switches on automatically if a signal is pending at the connection LINE IN (2).
Without a signal at the input, the active loudspeaker system switches off automatically after approx. 15 min.
ON position:
Device is switched on permanently.
• When the device is switched on, the POWER LED (1) status display lights up blue, when the device is
switched off, it lights up red.

Getting Started and Operation

Only put the appliance into operation when you have familiarised yourself with its fea-
tures and these operating instructions. Check again that all the connections are correct.
Do not operate the product if it is damaged.
The device may only be operated by persons familiar with the operating instructions.
Keep other persons and children away from the device.
• Turn the VOLUME (3) control back completely.
• Set the FREQ (4) control to the centre position.
• Using the POWER MODE switch (6), set the desired operating mode (see mains connection).
• Switch on the connected audio device and start the playback.
• Set the audio device to a medium volume.
• Adjust the subwoofer volume to the volume of the satellite loudspeakers using the VOLUME (3) control.
The subwoofer should not be able to be heard acoustically above everything else. No buzzing noise should
occur.
• Adjust the crossover frequency to the playback properties of your satellite loudspeakers with the FREQ
(4) control. The subwoofer should complement the existing loudspeakers in the deep bass range. Adjust
the crossover frequency as deep as possible, but without creating vertical exaggerations or "holes" in the
frequency band. If necessary, the VOLUME (3) control may be readjusted after this setting.
• Set the PHASE switch (5) to the position at which the playback is cleanest.
• Switch the connected audio device off again.
• Switch the built-in subwoofer module off again.
Set the POWER MODE switch (6) to the STANDBY position.
If the POWER MODE switch (6) is set to the AUTO position, the device is switched off automatically after
approx. 15 min.
Maintenance and Care
The subwoofer module is maintenance-free.
Clean the exterior of the device only with a dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solu-
tions as these may damage the surface of the housing.
Fuse replacement
If fuses have to be changed, make sure that they are only replaced with fuses of the same type and rated
current (refer to the "Technical Data").
Do not repair fuses or bridge the fuse holders.
• After disconnecting the appliance from the power source (by pulling plug out!), turn the cap on the fuse
holder (8) until it comes out and then remove the defective fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now, carefully replace the fuse holder with the new fuse.
• Only then should you plug the appliance back into the mains socket.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the household
waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
