Intended Use
The plug-in subwoofer module is used to boost audio signals from the audio system in the private area.
The input may only be connected to the low-level audio outputs from audio devices.
The loudspeaker output may be connected only to a suitable sub-woofer chassis.
This product has been approved for connection to 220-240 V/50 Hz AC voltage only.
The product must be installed in a loudspeaker housing to ensure protection against physical contact.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, for example in bathrooms
or similar spaces.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and involves other risks, such as
short circuits, fi re or electrical shocks.
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper
use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases, the warranty will be
null and void.
The exclamation mark indicates important information in these operating instructions.
Please read all the instructions before using this device; they contain important informa-
tion on its correct operation.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns you against unprotected live components or
elements inside the housing or „live" connection points. Coming into contact with these
components or connection points may be fatal.
Cables connected to such connection points may only be connected by an expert or you
must use ready-to-connect cables.
The device contains no parts that should be serviced by the user.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversions and/or modifi cations to the product are not permitted.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and
appropriately qualifi ed and they must follow these operating instructions.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 2. Only use a correct mains socket (220-240 V/
50 Hz) of the public power supply system as a source of power.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the fi rst time. Therefore, please follow the operating
instructions carefully.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to this device.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise subjected to me-
chanical strain. Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable due to excess heat or cold. Do not modify
the mains cable. This may damage the mains cable. A damaged power cable can result in a life-threatening
electric shock.
• If the power cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit-breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the socket. Never use the product if
the power cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the mains, you have to remove the mains plug from the wall
socket. It is not suffi cient to turn the device off with the on/off switch.
• Ensure there is adequate ventilation for the device during operation. Do not cover it with magazines,
blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance of approx. 15 cm to other devices.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential dangers
involved when using electrical devices.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects fi lled with liquid on top of them (e. g.
vases). You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal electric shock. If this is the case, de-energise the
appropriate socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) before removing the plug-in mains unit from the socket.
Disconnect all cables from the device. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist
workshop.
• Do not place naked fl ames such as burning candles on top of the device.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping water or water spray, strong vibrations or high
humidity.
• Only use the product in a moderate climate, never in tropical climates.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. They may become dangerous playthings for
children.
• Moreover, please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this operating
manual.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered
in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely connect it, consult a
trained technician.

Installation in a subwoofer housing
To ensure protection against physical contact, the device must be installed inside a
closed loudspeaker housing. Following installation, one should not be able to touch
the circuit board and connections lying inside. Operation without such a housing is not
permitted.
Only subwoofer loudspeakers with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohm should be
connected to the loudspeaker connection.
Do not drill extra holes or screw any extra screws for mounting purposes into the case.
This can enable contact with dangerously high voltages.
• Cut out a fi tting aperture in the subwoofer housing for the device. You will need an opening of 80 x 185 mm.
• Connect the loudspeaker cables (red and black) to the subwoofer chassis.
Red cable = positive terminal / black cable = negative terminal
• Screw the built-in subwoofer module in the opening tightly. Use all the holes in the installation plate to
ensure air-tight installation.
