Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove both rearlight units.

Drill from underneath the car a 13 mm large hole underneath both rearlight units.
Carefully remove all metal splinters and threat the edges with an anti-corrosion paint.
Put the rubber grommets in the holes.

Lead the brown/white wire from the 1-pole connector in the left treshold in the front of the car through the boot to the connector at the left rear-
light.
Careful. sharp parts!

Lead the end with the green, brown, black/red and white (2x) wire through the right grommet to the socket.
Lead the end with the yellow, blue, red, black, grey and brown/white wire through the left grommet to the socket.
(Careful. Hot exhaust!)
Fit both ends with the included wire ties.
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Rearfoglight
Earth 1-8
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Reverse light
Battery supply
Earth 9-13
Mount the socket to the towbar.

6-pole connectors are located at both rearlight units.
Disconnect the connectors at the right side.
Connect the wiring harness's connectors with the red/black, green and
brown wire correspondingly.
Disconnect the connectors at the left side.
Connect the wiring harness's connectors with the grey, blue, black, yellow
and red wire correspondingly.
Mount the connectors which are connected to the printed-circuit-board with
a wire tie, to prevent them from getting loose (see ill.).
Fit the connector of the brown/white wire to the connector of the routed
brown/white wire.
Fit the white wires to chassis earth.
6.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
