USE & CARE
CHECK THE TEMPERATURE OF YOUR MEAT:
Always turn the Motor 'OFF' before attempting use of a temperature probe. Always use a temperature probe to monitor the internal
temperature of meat to ensure your meat is cooked to the correct temperature.
FINISHED COOKING
1. Turn the Motor to the 'OFF' position.
2. Use a temperature probe to do a final check for doneness.
3. If complete, turn all control knobs to the 'OFF' position.
4. Turn Gas Supply 'OFF'
REMOVING THE SPIT ROD
CAUTION: THE SPIT ROD AND ALL THE ROTISSERIE COMPONENTS WILL BE VERY HOT DURING AND AFTER USE. ALWAYS
USE INSULATED BARBECUE GLOVES WHEN TOUCHING PARTS.
5. FOR VANGUARD
Remove the counter weight.
6. Using insulated barbecue gloves grasp the left and right side of the spit rod to remove from the barbecue.
7. Transfer the spit rod and meat to a suitable heat-resistant surface.
8. Remove the meat forks and any string used to secure the meat.
WARNING: THE MEAT FORK PRONGS ARE VERY SHARP. BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE FOOD.
9. Cover with foil for a 15 to 20-minute wait time. Meat will be easier to carve and will remain moist and tender.
CLEAN-UP
1. Hand wash with warm soapy water all components that come in contact with food.
2. Avoid cleaning the motor. If either the motor or motor bracket has accumulated grease, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth.
3. Store all components in a cool dry place.
