Troubleshooting

Before requesting any service on your unit, please check the following points. Please note that this guide
serves only as a reference for solutions to common problems.
ISSUE
The compressor is not
running.
The compressor runs for long
periods of time.
Cabinet temperature is too
warm.

Condensing fan motor
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Fuse blown or circuit breaker
tripped.
Power cord unplugged.
Thermostat is set too high.
Dirty condenser coil.
Evaporator coil iced over.
Thermostat is set too warm.
Improper air flow.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker
tripped.
METHOD
Use soft cloth to rub away water, dust, etc. A
neutral detergent may be used if necessary.
Use soft cloth to rub off water, food, etc.
Use soft cloth with a neutral detergent to rub
off water, food, etc. Wipe off excess product.
Cut power prior to wiping down the lights.
Clean off dirt in the water spout filter with
clean water.
Use a cloth dipped in soft detergent to clean
off dirt and rinse with water. Air dry before
re-installing.
Wipe down the compressor rack to remove
dust and debris. DO NOT PUT WATER ON
THE FAN MOTOR or it will burn out.
Remove any food residue and ice remnants.
Cut power then wipe down the fan motor.
Remove to clean (if necessary) and re-install
accordingly. DO NOT PUT WATER ON THE
FAN MOTOR or it will burn out.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Plug in power cord.
Set thermostat to a lower temperature. Wait for the
defrost cycle to finish.
Clean the condenser coil.
Unplug the unit and allow coil to defrost. Make sure
the thermostat is not set too cold. Ensure that the door
gasket(s) is sealing properly.
Set thermostat to lower temperature.
Re-arrange product to allow for proper air flow. Make
sure there is at least four inches of clearance from the
evaporator.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker. Clean the con-
denser coil. Ensure doors are closed when not in use.
Avoid opening doors for long periods of time.
