Installation

After carrying out
1. Removing the old thermostat
The HR 40 can be fitted with ease to any conventional radiator valve. You will
not then need your old thermostat.
1.
Unscrew the mounting of the old thermostat.
2.
Pull the thermostat away from the valve.
2. Fitting the valve actuator (see Fig. A)
1. Turn the wheel of the valve actuator as far as it will go anticlockwise.
2. Fit the control unit onto the valve actuator, pushing it on as far as the
stop. The flat tab on the valve actuator body must sit flush with the
control unit.
3. Move the knurled nut forwards and do it up firmly by hand (do not use any
tool for this!)
3. Inserting or removing the control unit
1. Turn the retaining lug on the control unit until it points upward (see Fig. B).
2. Fit the control unit onto the valve actuator, pushing it on as far as the stop
(see Fig. C).The flat tab on the valve actuator body must sit flush with the
control unit.
3. Turn the retaining lug on the control unit until it points backwards (see Fig. D).
The HR 40 will now adapt itself automatically to the valve. During this
adaption process the display will change from
control unit, reverse this sequence of operations.
This completes the procedure!
