Roof BOXER Notice D'utilisation

The BOXER helmet is fitted with an inner comfort system which may be completely removed. Its components made entirely
of textile may be washed ; use a soft soap and rinse abundantly ; do not dry near a heat source (radiator, for example).
CHANGING THE CHEEKS
You can adapt the comfort of your helmet to the shape of your head by buying cheeks of different sizes from your dealer.
REMOVING THE CHEEKS
Open the chin strap, then pull the top of the cheek towards the inside of the helmet to unclip
the two press studs. Then slide the cheek along the chin strap to get it out.
REFITTING THE CHEEKS
Introduce the chins strap and its leather protector without twisting it in the cheek housing, then fix the
cheeks by the two press studs.
REFITTING THE COMFORT PADDING
Clip the four front fixing clips one after the other and position the covering in the cap. Clip the two press studs behind the
covering.
REMOVING THE VISOR AND THE CHIN BAR
Put your helmet on a soft and stable surface.
Unscrew the Aluminium hinges using a coin or a spanner.
The red anti-loosening ring stays on the hinge. Remove the
chin bar from the helmet.
To remove the visor, lift one of the visor plates on the bottom
to clear it from the large diameter then the small diameter of
the twin hinge. Remove the plate from the stop.
Work in the same way for the other side. You can then
change the visor or clean it.
CLEANING THE VISOR
It is vital that your visor is easy to see through. Avoid putting labels or adhesive tape on your visor. If the visor is scratched,
replace it. To clean the visor properly, it is better to remove it first. Begin by rinsing in running water. Then clean the visor using
warm soapy water, then use a soft cloth to dry it carefully. Moreover, for the perfect working of the anti-mist, you are advised
to clean it regularly. Never use alcohol, solvent or hydrocarbons – or even window-cleaning agents or liquid polish.
REFITTING THE VISOR AND THE CHIN BAR
(work in the following order)
Put your helmet on a soft and stable surface.
Insert the stop into the bean-shaped slot, engage the top of the plate under the small diameter of the twin hinge, then clip the
bottom of the plate under the large diameter of the twin hinge. Check that the visor pivots freely around the large diameter.
Proceed in the same way for the other side.
The position the chin bar by aligning the hubs with the small diameter of each twin hinge, and hand-tighten the screws with
their red ring. Tighten both screws using a coin or a spanner. Then check that the chin bar and visor freely pivot around the
shell.
REMOVING THE COMFORT PADDING
Take the left press stud at the rear of the covering between
your thumb and index finger. Using your other thumb, hold
the press stud on the cap and pull on the covering. Work
in the same way on the other side. Lift one of the four clips
of the fron fixing with a fingernail, and pull the covering
with your other hand. Work in the same way for the three
other clips.

POSITIONS D'UTILISATION
Le casque Boxer appartient à la famille des casques modulables. Il est homologué selon la norme européenne E22-05 à la
fois dans la classe Intégral lorsque la mentonnière est fermée et dans la classe Jet lorsque la mentonnière est ouverte. En
position Jet, la mentonnière doit être placée en butée arrière. Pour votre sécurité, ROOF recommande le port du Boxer en
position intégral.
L'articulation de la mentonnière est pourvue d'un dispositif anti-desserrement (bague rouge). Il n'est pas utile de graisser
cette articulation, ni de la serrer trop fort.
VERROUILLAGE DE LA MENTONNIERE
Sur le modèle Boxer Classic, le verrouillage s'effectue grâce à des boutons pressions. Pour
verrouiller votre mentonnière, rabattez-là jusqu'à ce qu'elle arrive en butée avant et pressez
sur le bouton métallique. Pour déverrouiller la mentonnière, tirer l'extrémité de la languette
en plastique vers l'extérieur.
BOXER CLASSIC
Sur le modèle Boxer V8, le verrouillage s'effectue grâce à un bouton muni d'un ressort de
sécurité. Pour verrouiller votre mentonnière, rabattez-là jusqu'à ce qu'elle arrive en butée
avant et pressez sur le bouton métallique. Pour déverrouiller la mentonnière, appuyez d'abord
sur le bouton rouge vers le haut puis écartez la languette en plastique vers l'extérieur.
CASQUE NEUF
Afin d'optimiser le fonctionnement et l'étanchéité entre l'écran et la mentonnière, il est conseillé lors des
premières utilisations d'entreposer votre casque avec l'écran fermé et la mentonnière verrouillée afin de
bien mettre les mousses en place. Lors de son utilisation sur route, descendez d'abord la mentonnière
et ensuite l'écran. Utiliser le bouton situé au milieu de l'écran pour relever celui-ci.
ATTENTION : Pour votre sécurité, veillez à limiter les manipulations de votre casque lorsque vous roulez.
NETTOYAGE DU CASQUE
Extérieur :
Nettoyez uniquement votre casque à l'eau tiède et au savon doux. N'utilisez jamais d'essence, diluant,
benzine ou tout autre solvant, car ces produits risqueraient d'endommager les pièces du casque et d'an-
nuler ses propriétés de protection contre les chocs.
Intérieur :
Lorsque votre casque est démonté, vous ne devez effectuer aucune opération sur le calotin amortisseur,
ni lavage, ni solvant. Vous pourriez remettre en cause ses qualités amortissantes.
