2. Technical instructions for installation and adjustment

When unpacking, check cooktop for
damage during transport.
In the event of problems, contact the dealer
or your nearest After-Sales Service.
Technical information for the
installer:
Before installation, make sure that the
local gas delivery conditions (nature and
pressure) are compatible with the settings
of the appliance.
Adjustment conditions of this appliance
are described on the label (or data plate).
This cooktop shall not be connected to
a fume exhaust device.
It shall be installed in accordance with
current installation regulations.
Particular attention shall be given to the
relevant requirements regarding
ventilation.
The room where the cooktop is to be
installed must have proper ventilation
according to standard NTC 3631
1st update: 2003-08-26.
This product can be embedded in a
worktop 20 to 50 mm thick.
See "Troubleshooting Guide" to check for
proper operation of burners.
If there is no oven beneath the cooktop,
insert a separator panel that has a
surface at least equal to the opening in
the work surface. This panel must be
positioned at a maximum distance of
150 mm below the upper surface of the
work surface but, in no case, less than
20 mm from the bottom of the cooktop.

Before installation, make sure that:
- The outer surfaces of the furniture or
appliances adjacent to the cooktop are
heat resistant according to local
regulations.
- Combustion products are discharged
outdoors through specific hoods or wall
and/or window mounted electrical fans.
- Air natural circulation is ensured through
a wall opening of at least 100 cm²
which shall:
a) Be located on an exterior wall, be
ventilated and permanent.
b) Be constructed so that it is not
obstructed (nor even accidentally).
c) Be protected by permanent vent grids
that do not reduce the area previously
mentioned.
d) Be next to the floor in such a way that
it does not interfere with the exhaust
device.
For proper installation and operation of
the gas cooktop, follow the following
standards:
- NTC2505 (Installations to supply gas to
residential and commercial buildings).
- NTC2832-1 (Gas cooktops. Safety
requirements).
- NTC3632 (Installation of gas cooktops).
