DVR SETUP WIZARD
On the Activation screens you will need to create your Admin Password, Security Questions, and Lock Screen Pattern
(draw the pattern and connect at least 4 dots) before the Setup Wizard starts. You need to add an IP Camera password
on the Password screen. This password is only required to complete the screen – IP Cameras are not available from
DEFENDER ® . YOU MUST INSERT A USB TO EXPORT YOUR SECURITY SETTINGS – THIS MAY BE REQUIRED IF YOU FORGET
YOUR LOGIN DETAILS.
WARNING : DO NOT RIGHT CLICK DURING ACTIVATION BECAUSE YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE
SECURITY QUESTION SECTION – REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD!
1. SIGNAL INPUT STATUS
Displays the type of camera that can be connected to the DVR. All cameras should be HD/CVBS because IP cameras are
not available from Defender for the 4K system.
2. LANGUAGE
Select the System Language. The DVR Menu will show in the language selected.
3. WIZARD
Select the checkbox if you want the Setup Wizard to show every time the DVR is powered On.
4. TIME & DATE FORMAT
Select your Time Zone, Date Format, System Date, and System Time.
