SAFety inStructionS - use
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in humid rooms.
• P lace the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface where it cannot fall.
• D o not let the power cord hang over the edge of the draining board, worktop
or table.
• M ake sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, the power
cord or the plug.
• S witch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket in the
event of a malfunction during use, and before cleaning the appliance, fitting
or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance after use.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• N ever immerse the housing, the power cord or the plug in water or other
liquids.
• Make sure that the appliance has sufficient ventilation whilst in use.
• D o not place the appliance too close to kitchen cupboards and walls covered
in wallpaper. The hot steam may cause damage.
• N ever move the appliance when it is switched on or is still hot. Switch off the
appliance and wait until it has cooled down before moving it.
• B e careful when opening the lid during or after use. The hot steam can
cause burns.
• T his appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a
remote control.

operAtion - using for the first time
1. Remove the packaging.
2. Thoroughly clean the device with a warm, damp cloth in order to remove any
manufacturing residue (see "Cleaning and maintenance").
