8. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please not that for any maintainance work or tool changes the spraygun must be disconnected from the
air supply!
Screw the euro adapter into the air coupling.
Use teflon tape on the thread of the adapter for proper sealing.
The spraygun has been treated with an anticorrosive agent for shippment and should be flushed with
a mild thinner befor first use.
To adjust the width of the spray use the round/wide spray dial (7).
To adjust the amount of air flowing through the spray gun use the air regulator (5).
Never remove the air regulator valve during operation!
Changing the nozzle and needle:
To switch from one nozzle size to the next, it is always necessary to remove and replace the whole
nozzle/needle assembly.
The assembly consists of air cap, paintnozzle and needle.
Always put in the paintnozzle before putting in the needle.
Only use original ERBA nozzle/needle assemblies.
Never use cleaning agents that contain halogenated carbohydrates (ie. 1,1,1-trichloroethane
and methylenechloride) can cause (sometimes even violent) chemical reactions with all parts of
the spraygun.
Only use cleaning agents free of the above mentiones substances!
Never use any sort of acid.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Spray gun drips:
Dirt between needle and paint nozzle. Clean needle and paint nozzle.
Paint drips out of needle housing:
Needlegasket damaged or missing. Replace gasket.
Paint flow is not centered or irregularly shaped:
Aircap partially clogged. Clean all holes of the aircap.
Pain flow stutters:
Not enough paint in the cup, needlegasket damaged, aircap not tight, paintnozzle damaged.
Clean/replace dirty/damaged parts.
Paint bubbles inside the cup:
Air is transported into the cup. Aircap not tight, paintnozzle not tight or damaged, airstream clogged.
Clean/replace dirty/damaged parts.
