Mounting the bracket ABUS USKF

Select a suitable location to mount the bracket on your bicycle.
Attention
Please ensure that the lock is able to fit in smoothly, particularly within the
frame triangle.

Warning
Danger of material damage due to
falling out
The lock can fall out of the holder
and be damaged if the bracket is not
mounted correctly.
• Mount the bracket on your bicycle
so that the opening for inserting
the lock is facing upwards.
Danger to life by falling out during
transport by car or trailer
If the lock is in the bracket when
transporting your bicylce with a car or
trailer, it can fall out and injure or kill
other road users.
• Always remove the lock from the
bracket during this transport.

Charging the battery

You can view the battery charge status on the Smart X app. Charge your
lock as soon as the app prompts you to do so.
If the battery is depleted, the lock will still provide mechanical security,
but you will be unable to open and close it!
Charge the battery even before a longer period of non-use of the lock
(e.g. winter break).
Charging process → 3.1–3.4 under consideration of the safety
information on pages 20 and 21.
