Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van dit product. Lees de instructies zorgvuldig door
voordat u de thermometer voor de eerste keer gebruikt, en bewaar deze op een
veilige plaats. Dit product is bedoeld voor het meten van de lichaamstemperatuur.
Gebruiksaanwijzing
Desinfecteer voor gebruik eerst de sonde. Om de thermometer aan te zetten
drukt u eerst op de AAN/UIT-knop naast het display; een korte piep klinkt,
wat aangeeft dat de thermometer werkt. Op hetzelfde moment wordt er een
zelfcontrole proef uitgevoerd, waarbij alle digitale segmenten op de LCD
verschijnen. Wanneer de letter "L" en een knipperende "°C" of "°F" display
verschijnen, is de thermometer klaar voor gebruik. Als de omgevingstemperatuur
lager is dan 32°C of 89,6°F, dan verschijnt "Lo°C" of "Lo°F" op het LCD en bij
een temperatuur hoger dan 42°C of 107,6°F, verschijnt "HI°C" of "HI°F" op het
scherm. Tijdens het meten wordt de huidige temperatuur voortdurend getoond en
het "°C" or "°F" symbool knippert. De meting is afgerond wanneer een constante
temperatuur is bereikt. De temperatuurwaarde wordt als constant beschouwd
wanneer de temperatuur minder dan 0,1°C binnen 4 seconden stijgt. Zodra de
constante temperatuurwaarde wordt bereikt, klinkt er vier keer een pieptoon, en
het "°C" of "°F" symbool stopt met knipperen. De hoogst gemeten temperatuur
verschijnt op de LCD. Houd er echter rekening mee dat deze thermometer een
maximum thermometer is, d.w.z. de weergegeven temperatuur kan enigszins
toenemen als de meting doorgaat na de pieptoon. Dit is vooral het geval bij
okselmetingen, als een temperatuurwaarde geregistreerd moet worden die de
kerntemperatuur van het lichaam benadert. Let in dit geval op de beschrijving
onder "Methoden voor het meten van de temperatuur". Als de meting voltooid
is, zet de thermometer dan uit door het drukken op de AAN/UIT-knop. Nadat de
temperatuur is weergegeven, wordt de thermometer automatisch na 10 minuten
uitgeschakeld.
Geheugenfunctie
Bij het aanzetten van de thermometer klinkt een korte pieptoon. Op hetzelfde
moment wordt er een zelfcontrole proef uitgevoerd, waarbij alle digitale
segmenten op de LCD verschijnen. De laatst gemeten waarde verschijnt
automatisch met "°C" of "°F" op het LCD voor ongeveer 2 seconden. De meting
wordt alleen overschreven wanneer een nieuwe temperatuur wordt geregistreerd.
Methoden voor temperatuurmeting
Het is belangrijk te onthouden dat het meten van de lichaamstemperatuur afhangt
van de plek waar het wordt gemeten. Om deze reden moet de meetplaats altijd
worden geregistreerd om ervoor te zorgen dat een juiste temperatuur wordt
geregistreerd.
In het rectum (rectaal)
Dit is de meest nauwkeurige methode vanuit medisch oogpunt, want het komt het
dichtst in de buurt van de kernlichaamstemperatuur. De thermometerpunt wordt
voor maximaal 2 cm voorzichtig ingebracht in het rectum.
De gebruikelijke meettijd is ongeveer 9 tot 11 seconden.

Congratulations on the purchase of this product. Read the instructions carefully
before using the thermometer for the first time, and keep it in a safe place. This
product is intended for the measurement of the body temperature.
Operating Instructions
Before using, please disinfect the probe at first.To switch on, press the ON/
OFF button next to the display; a short beep will sound, indicating that the
thermometer is operational. At the same time the thermometer runs a self-check
test, during which all the digital segments appear on the LCD. When the letters
"Lo" and a flashing " °C" or " °F" display, the thermometer is now ready for use.
If theambient temperature is below 32 °C or 89.6 °F, then "Lo °C"or "Lo °F"
will appear on the LCD and if it is more than 42 °C or 107.6 °F, then "Hi °C" or
"Hi °F" will appear on the LCD. During the reading, the current temperature is
displayed continuously and the " °C" or " °F" symbol flashes. The measurement
is completed when a constant temperature value has been reached. The
temperature value is consider ed constant when the temperature rises less than
0.1 °C within 16 seconds. As soon as the constant temperature value is reached,
a beep will sound four times, and the " °C" or " F" symbol will stop flashing. The
highest temperature measured appears on the LCD. However, please note that
this thermometer is a maximum thermometer, i.e. the displayed temperature can
increase slightly if measurement continues after the beep. This is particularly
the case with axillary measurements, should a temperature value be recorded
which approximates the core body temperature. In this instance please note
the description under "Methods of measuring temperature". When the measur
ement is completed, please switch the thermometer off by pressing the ON/OFF
button. After the temperature has been displayed, the thermometer will shut off
automatically after 10 minutes.
Memory function
Switch the thermometer on, a shor t beep will sound. At the same time the
thermometer runs a self-check test, during which all the digital segments
appear on the LCD. After that the last reading value with " C" or" F" will appear
automatically on the LCD for about 2 seconds. The reading is only over-written
when a new temperature value is recorded.
Methods of measuring temperature
It is important to remember that the body temperature reading depends on the
site where it is measured. For this reason, the measurement site must always be
specified in order to ensure that a correct temper ature reading is recorded.
In the rectum (rectal)
This is the most accurate method from a medical point of view, because it
comes closest to the core body temperature. The thermometer tip is inser ted
carefully into the rectum for a maximum of 2 cm. The usual measuring time is
approximately 9 to 11 seconds.
Under the arm(axillary)
Placing the thermometer in the armpit provides a measurement of surface
temperature that can fluctuate by around 0.5 C to 1.5 C from rectal temperature
readings in adults. The usual measuring time for this method is approximately
80 to 120 seconds. It should be noted, however, that an exact reading cannot be
obtained if, for example, the armpits have been allowed to cool. If this is the case,
we recommend extending the measuring time by around 5 minutes in order to

In de mond (oraal)
Er zijn verschillende warmtezones in de mond. Als algemene regel geldt dat de
orale temperatuur ongeveer 0,3°C tot 0,8°C lager is dan de rectale temperatuur.
Om de meting zo nauwkeurig mogelijk uit te voeren moet u de thermometerpunt
links of rechts van de tongwortel plaatsen. De thermometer top moet constant
contact hebben met het weefsel tijdens het meten en onder de tong geplaatst
worden in een van de twee warmteholtes aan de achterkant, houd de mond
gesloten tijdens het meten en adem gelijkmatig door de neus. Eet of drink niet
voor de meting. De gebruikelijke meettijd is ongeveer 15 tot 19 seconden.
Opmerking: We raden ten zeerste de rectale methode aan als de meest
nauwkeurige methode voor het identificeren van de basale temperatuur, en
adviseren u om de meettijd met 3 minuten te verlengen na de pieptoon.
Schoonmaken en ontsmetting
De beste manier om de thermometerpunt schoon te maken is het gebruiken
van een desinfecterend middel (bijv. 70% ethylalcohol) met een vochtige doek.
Deze thermometer is gegarandeerd waterdicht en kan daarom ondergedompeld
worden in vloeistof of lauw water voor schoonmaken en ontsmetting.
Veiligheidsmaatregelen
• Zorg ervoor dat de thermometer niet in contact komt met heet water.
• Stel het niet bloot aan hoge temperaturen of direct zonlicht.
• Laat de thermometer niet vallen. Het is niet slag- en stootvast.
• Buig of open de thermometer niet (met uitzondering van het batterijvakje).
• Niet schoonmaken met thinner, benzine of benzeen. Alleen schoonmaken
met water of ontsmettingsmiddel.
• Laat de thermometer niet 15 cm onder water zakken langer dan 30 minuten.
• De thermometer bevat kleine onderdelen (batterij, batterijvakje) die door
kinderen kunnen worden ingeslikt. Om deze reden mag de thermometer niet
onbeheerd in de handen van kinderen achtergelaten worden.
• Voorkom het buigen van de thermometer top.
• Als de omgevingstemperatuur hoger is dan 35°C of 95°F, dompel de
thermometerpunt dan in koud water voor ongeveer 5 tot 10 seconden voor
het meten van de temperatuur.
• Aanhoudende koorts, vooral bij kinderen, moet worden behandeld door een
arts - neem contact op met uw arts!
• Niet te gebruiken in de buurt van elektromagnetische velden, dwz hou het uit
de buurt van radiosystemen en mobiele telefoons.
Vervangen van de batterij
De batterij is leeg en moet vervangen worden wanneer het
batterijsymbool verschijnt aan de rechterkant van de LCD. Verwijder het
batterijklepje en vervang de batterij door een (bij voorkeur zonder kwik) van
hetzelfde type.
Let op: Plaats het " + " teken naar boven en " - " teken naar beneden.Wij raden
u aan om de batterijen te verwijderen als het apparaat voor een langere periode
niet gebruikt wordt.
Productverwijdering
Zorg voor bescherming van het milieu. Batterijen horen niet thuis bij het
huishoudelijk afval. lever ze in bij een verzamelpunt of het gemeentelijke
recyclingscentrum als speciaal afval.

verbruikte elektronische producten niet mogen worden gemengd met gewoon

In the mouth(oral)
There are different heat zones in the mouth. As a generalrule, the oral
temperature is 0.3 C to 0.8 C lower than the rectal temperature. To ensure that
reading is as accurate as possible, place the thermometer tip to the left or right
of the root of the tongue. The thermometer tip must have constant contact with
the tissue during the reading and be placed under the tongue in one of the two

Safety precautions
• Do not use near strong electromagnetic fields, i.e. keep it away from any

contact with hot water.
• Do not expose to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Do not drop the thermometer. It is neither shock-proof nor impact-resistant.
• Do not bend or open the device (except the battery compartment).
• Do not clean with thinners, petrol or benzenel.
• Only clean with water or disinfectant.
• Do not immerse the Waterproof thermometers under water 15cm for longer
than 30 minutes.
• The thermometer contains small par ts (battery, battery compartment) which
can be swallowed by children. For this reason, do not leave the thermometer
unattended in the hands of children.
• Avoid bending the thermometer tip by more than 45 degrees.
• If the ambient temperatur e is over 35 C or 95 F, dip the thermometer tip in
cold water for approx. 5 to 10 seconds prior to measuring the temperature.
• Persistent fever, in particular in children, has to be treated by a doctor- please
get in touch with your doctor!
• Do not use near strong electromagnetic fields, i.e. keep it away from any
radio systems and mobile phones.
Battery replacement
The battery is empty and needs replacing when the
appears on the right of the LCD. Remove the battery cover and replace it with a
battery (preferably non-mercury) of the same type. Place the "+ " sign up and "-"
sign down. We advise you to remove the batteries if the device is not going to be
used for a longer period of time.
Product disposal
Please ensure environmental protection. Batteries do not belong in the domestic
waste. Please hand them in at collection point or the municipal recycle material
centre as special waste.
