1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read this material before using this product. Failure to do so can result in serious injury. KEEP THIS
MANUAL. When giving this machine to third parties, always include this manual. We do not accept
any liabilities for accidents or damages that result from misuse. Removal/Alteration of any
safety devices or of the machine in general will result in the loss of warranty. The
buyer assumes all risk and liability arising out of his or her repairs/alterations to the
original product or replacement parts thereto, or arising out of his or her installation
of replacement parts thereto.
Never use the auger under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Always switch the auger off when performing maintainance work.
Keep your work area clean, well lit and free of obstacles.
Do not use drillbits that are damaged in any way.
Do not alter or remove any of the auger's safety mechanisms.
Check the auger for any damage before each use.
Do not operate the auger if it or any of it's safety mechanisms are damaged.
When operating the auger, any other person must keep a safe distance.
Keep children away from your work area. Do not allow underaged persons to operate the auger.
Never leave the auger running unattended.
Always keep the auger clean and store it away from children and in an upright position.
Do not use the auger indoors!
Make sure not to drill into gas, water or electrical lines.
Always be carefull. The drillbit can get caught and jammed in underground wires, roots or other
obstacles, resulting in a string jolt on the handle.
Do not touch the spark plug when the engine is running - risk of electric shock.
Do not touch the exhaust or its immediate area when the auger is running - risk of serious burns.
Always use personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves, ear protection, etc.)
Do not inhale exhaust fumes.
Do not spill any fuel on the engine - risk of fire.
