3.5.8.1.2 Locations to avoid
Do not install the indoor air quality sensor:
- Less than 30 cm from the ceiling
- Outside
- In an area where the temperature is below 0°C or above 50°C
- In an area where the humidity is greater than 95%
- In a dusty or dirty area (garage, workshop, etc.)
- At least 1 m from any doors and windows or any heating, cooling or air vents
- In a walkway where it could get damaged
- In a confined space (for example, in a cupboard or behind a curtain)
- In an area where it could be obstructed (for example by furniture)
3.5.8.2 Precautions and usage restrictions for the sensor
Do not install the sensor in any of the situations described in the "Locations to avoid" section.
Do not paint the sensor or cover it.
Do not block the sensor openings.
Do not disassemble, modify or damage the sensor.

4 COMMISSIONING

4.1 Checks prior to use

In accordance with local standards, a visual inspection must be carried out after the installation to
check that:

Before switching the unit on, the ducts must be connected.
▪
The sizing specifications are respected.
▪
The installation is safe (electrically, mechanically and hydraulically).
▪
The system's components are in good condition.
▪
All components can be accessed for maintenance.
4.2 Commissioning using the VMI® LINK PRO app

4.2.1 Prior to use

To install the VMI® PUREVENT unit, the VMI® LINK PRO app and registration via the VENTILAIRSEC
portal are first required.
Your VMI® account credentials will consist of your phone number and a password provided by the
administrator who manages your company's VENTILAIRSEC PRO account.
The app is compatible with the following telephones:
- Android 4.1 and later
- iOS 8 and later
For the application to work, the Bluetooth option must be enabled on your phone as well as the GPS
feature (your location is not recorded).
The Bluetooth version must be 4.2 or higher.
