4. Dismantle the UVC lamp. Take the lamp out of the compartment in the filter housing.
6.2.1. Cleaning of the quartz glass cylinder
1. Turn the UV-C radiator's ballast device (32) anticlockwise by 45°. Remove the UV-C lamp with the ballast
device from the holder carefully.
2. Replace the UV-C tubes (31) if necessary.
3. Then undo the four screws (26/30) on the quartz glass piston holder and pull the quartz glass and holder
out of the housing carefully.
4. Clean the quartz glass (28) and housing (25) thoroughly with water and a soft cloth.
5. If needed, remove lime scale from the quartz glass (28) with a suitable solvent. Rinse out thoroughly
before reassembling.
6. If quartz glass tube or O-rings are defective they must always be replaced
Fit everything in reverse order.
Do not screw the quartz glass piston holder tight to the UV-C radiator housing (25) with excessive force.
Ensure that the sealing ring (29) is inserted exactly into the groove on the protective quartz glass. Grease
the O-ring (29) with Vaseline if required.
6.2.2. Replacing the UV-C lamp
Attention! The UVC tubes must be placed by the manufacturer or their customer service, or by a similar
qualified person, to prevent hazards.
1. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance work.
2. Unscrew the socket with the lamp inside, remove the UV-C lamp and replace it with the new one.
Caution! Do not touch UV-C tubes directly with your hand; put on cotton gloves!
Do not dispose of old, broken UV-C tubes in the household waste. Consult your local disposal company.
Do not use any sharp-edged tools. If the quartz glass piston or O-rings are faulty, they must always be
replaced.
6.2.3. Function check of UVC lamp
Check the function of the UV-C-lamp by the bluish light on the bulb holder (1).
In case the UV-C-lamp does not shine, the UV-C lamp may not be properly assembled. Check this with the
above installation instructions.
