MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 4 M10 x 40 x 1.5mm High Tensile Bolts (Grade 10.9), Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
E 2 Non-Handed Side Arm
G 8 M10 x 40 x 1.5mm High Tensile Bolts (Grade 10.9), Lock Washers, Flat Washers (25mm O.D.), Flat
Washers (30mm O.D.) and Nuts.
H 4 M10 x 40 x 1.5mm High Tensile Bolts (Grade 10.9), Nuts, Lock Washers and 8 Flat Washers (20mm
O.D.)
K 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Remove panels each side inside vehicle. Remove bumper (4 plastic clips retaining wheel arch liners, 1 tip bolt each
side, 1 bolt each side on rear quarter inside vehicle, 4 bolts on lower edge, 1 long nut through rear panel each side.
Disconnect reversing sensors if fitted. Pull bumper rearwards.)
2. Remove spare wheel, jack tray, warning triangle holder and then remove wheel well carpet. Remove bumper beam (4
studs each side through rear panel, NOTE upper right hand outside stud has very limited access) and hand to
customer for re-fitment if the towbar is removed.
3. Insert Side Arms (E) and (F) into chassis rails and loosely attach to existing holes in chassis using Bolts (D).
4. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to existing holes in rear panel using Bolts (G). Attach Cross Bar (A) to Side Arms (E) and
(F) using Bolts (H). Tighten all bolts, M10 Bolts all Grade 10.9 – 78 Nm. Note: It is essential to fully seal chassis
openings to prevent any possible water ingress when the towbar is fitted.
5. Cut bumper as shown. Re-fit bumper and all interior.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings:
