1.3 Keypad Overview

IRiM keys
- Switches the unit on and off.
ON/OFF
- Used to switch between the following interface modes (scroll function)
SELECT
• USB PC interface
• USB printer interface
• Serial printer interface
RESET - Reset the IRiM board to default configuration.
- Used during firmware update in combination with the ON/OFF button.

1.4 LED Indicators

LED Indications:
• POWER indicator will be illuminated if the IRiM is running.
• PC interface indicator will be illuminated if the PC interface mode is selected and the cable
is connected with PC. The LED flashes if the PC is not correctly connected.
• USB printer interface indicator will be illuminated if the USB printer interface mode is
selected and the cable is connected to printer. The LED flashes if the USB printer is not
correctly connected.
• Serial printer interface indicator will be illuminated if the RS232 printer interface mode is
selected. It will not check for the presence of a serial printer.
