Customers need to install Yamaha USB-MIDI Drivers on their computer if they have an
instrument with a USB TO HOST port (looks like a square USB port) on it, or when using our
UX16 USB-MIDI Interface. When attempting to connect our 5-Pin MIDI instruments (without
USB TO HOST port) to a computer using a 3rd-Party USB-MIDI interface, our customers
should contact the manufacturer for connectivity support.
To find our latest USB-MIDI Drivers, please do one of the following:
1) Go to our USB-MIDI Driver page,
2) Go to our Downloads page at download.yamaha.com and search for your products drivers
there (FAQ regarding our Downloads page here).
NOTE: If your product requires a USB Audio or Firewire driver (MX, MOX, MOXF Series
Synths, N Series Mixers, etc.), use the Downloads page to find the correct Audio Driver for it
(the USB-MIDI Driver won't work).
