2. LOCAL MODE
2.1. Introduction
The Local mode is the default mode for Smart Door. This corresponds to the local access
via a Smartphone or Tablet app.
2.2. Compatibility
• iPhone (4s or +), iPad (3rd gen. or +), iPad (mini , air or +), iPod touch (5th gen. or +)
• An Android mobile device with Android 4.3 minimum with Bluetooth Smart
2.3. Install SmartPad App for iOS and Android
If you already have Smartpad on your Smartphone/Tablet please check that your Smartpad
application is updated.
To install Smartpad for the first time, please scan the QR code with a scan app or go to
your App Store/ Google Play Store and search for "BeeWi SmartPad"
2.4 Pairing
Before using Smart Door, it is necessary to securely pair the Smartphone and Smart Door.
This way, only authorized Smartphone or Tablet will be able to access the sensor.
1) Open BeeWi SmartPad app.
2) Put the batteries inside sensor (or remove protective tongue). Use the metal Pin to access
pairing hole and press during 2 seconds. The LED will flash twice per second during 1
minute.
3) In the Same minute, press "Add Peripheral" in Smartpad to look for your peripheral
and initiate pairing
Once paired, a control box will appear and motion will stop blinking.
After a while, you can now check the history of opening/closing.
2.5 Using SmartPad
a) Home Screen
The home screen is listing all the peripherals paired and connected to the device.
By selecting the peripheral box, it is possible to:
- Reconnect the peripheral in case the connection has been lost
- Access the Control screen when the peripheral is connected
- Drag and move the box when holding the finger on the box
In the peripheral box, you will find the following information and function:
- Sensor picture (user defined)
- Sensor name (user defined, "BeeWi Smart Door" by default)
