Operating Instructions
A.
Locate a power source to be used for the handlamp. The EHLED is rated for 120–277 V AC 50/60Hz.
NOTE: If the power source is WITHIN a Hazardous Location the handlamp must be connected to the power source
with explosion proof fittings suitable for the Hazardous Location. If the handlamp is provided with an explosion proof
connector, the power source outlet must also meet the requirements of the Hazardous Location. If the handlamp is to
be connected to a power source OUTSIDE of the Hazardous Location, it may have a NEMA 5-15P or other connector
suitable for the type of connection.
B.
Connect the handlamp to the power source.
NOTE: Always use a grounded outlet.
C.
Position handlamp for use.
D.
Disconnect power cord from power source to discontinue use. (The handlamp is switch-less.)
Troubleshooting
CAUTION: ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD: DISCONNECT handlamp from power source and remove to a safe area
(beyond the hazardous operating environment) before inspection or repair work is attempted.
Failure of the handlamp to operate could result from a break in the power circuit or failure of a component. In this case, the handlamp
is not operational, DO NOT operate.
1.
With an Ohmmeter, verify that supply voltage is correct (120±5VAC or 12±2VDC, depending on model).
2.
Check for short to ground. Using a Volt-Ohm Meter set on its lowest Ohm scale, firmly touch one lead to one blade of the
plug while firmly touching the other lead to the ground pin on the plug. An open circuit reading (infinite Ohms) should be
observed. Repeat this process for the other plug blade. If a short exists, DO NOT operate the handlamp.
3.
Replace lamp by following lamp replacement instructions.

Maintenance/Inspection

1. Check for any cracks on globe or guard. If any cracks/damage are seen, order replacement part EHLEDTKG Globe & Guard
Assembly which also contains
2. If nicks, cracks, or pitting are seen in the handle, DO NOT USE, purchase a new handlamp.
3. If the lamp socket shows signs of arcing, burning, corrosion, moisture or other damage, DO NOT USE, purchase a new handlamp.
4. If there is any damage to, or punctures seen on the power cord, DO NOT USE, purchase a new handlamp.
