3. IMPORTANT ADVICE

• Before using your appliance for the first time,
read the following instructions carefully and
keep them for future reference. Keep this
manual throughout the entire working life of
the appliance.
• Make sure that the mains voltage in your
home corresponds to that indicated on the
appliance. Only connect the appliance to an
AC power supply.
• The electrical safety of your appliance is only
guaranteed if it is connected to an efficient
earth installation. If in doubt, contact a qualified
professional.
• The appliance is designed for domestic use
only. Any other use is considered unsuitable
and therefore dangerous.
• In order to avoid electric shocks, do not
submerge the connection base, cable or plug
in water or any other liquid.
• Only use the kettle with the connection base
provided. Do not use any other type of
connection.
• Do not leave the appliance on unattended.
Keep out of the reach of children. Individuals
suffering from motor system impairments
should not be permitted to use the appliance.
• Unplug the base from the mains when not in

use, before connecting or removing the kettle
and before cleaning.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the
elements (rain, sun, frost, etc.).
• Do not use the appliance or place any part of
it on or near hot surfaces (cooker hobs, ovens,
etc.).
• If, for any reason, the appliance stops working,
contact an authorised Technical Assistance
Centre.
• If the cable becomes damaged, have it
replaced by an authorised Technical
Assistance Centre.
• Never use any electrical appliance if the cable
or plug are damaged, if it is not working
properly or if it has been damaged in any way.
Take the appliance to an authorised Technical
Assistance Centre for examination and/or
repair.
• Avoid contact with the steam that is released
from the spout when the water boils. Be
especially careful to avoid burning yourself
with the steam when removing the kettle's lid.
• Never fill the kettle to above the 'MAX' mark,
or else the water may overflow when it begins
to boil.
• Never switch the kettle on when the water is
below the indicated 'MIN' level.

4. BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE

Before using your kettle for the first time or after a
long period of disuse, fill to the maximum, boil
and then pour the water away.
5. HOW TO USE YOUR
AUTOMATIC KETTLE
• Place the appliance on a dry, flat, stable
surface.
• Open the lid by pressing the corresponding
button/s and fill with the required quantity of
water. The water level should be between the
'MAX' and 'MIN' marks.
• Replace the lid and make sure it is properly
fitted, otherwise the kettle will not switch itself
off when the water boils.
• Place the kettle on the base, plug into the
mains and turn the on-off switch to the 'I'
position. The kettle ON pilot light will come on.
• The kettle will turn itself off when the water
inside reaches boiling point.
