Inserting the crank interrupts the power supply of the motor.
The appropriat switch has already been connected according
to the curcuit diagramm, if a haacon control unit is installed.
Otherwise it is the responsibility of the operator to correctly
connect the switch to the control unit.
The switch is a safety component.
– Examine regularly, however at least once annually, as well as
before commissioning.
The operator must ensure, that the brake is not inad-
vertently vented during normal operation.
e.g. the levers can be unscrewed with 400V drive units
and screwed into the crank mounting.

9.5 Device for examination of safety components

These devices are part of the haacon control box.
Measures against unauthorized use must be taken(key switch)
To be used only by authorised experts.

Avoiding injuries and damages:
– Malfunctions may only be repaired by sufficiently qualified and authorised persons.
– Secure devicece against unintentional start-up. I.e.switch main switch off and secure with lock.
– Secure range of action of moving components.
– Safety instructions –> Chapter 3.

area when testing. Secure danger zone.
z To test the double brake individually use the brake levers at
the back of the motor. Alternatively use the button „brake1"
or „brake2" in the control box
z To examine the emergency limit switches use the buttons
„check emergency up" and „check emergency down"
z To get back from a connected emergency limit switch into
the normal operating range use the buttons „reset emer-
gency up" and „reset emergency down". press and hold the
buttons and lift or lower via pressing the UP or DOWN button.
z To get back from a connected motor temperatur switch delay
use the buttons „reset motor temperatur " . press and hold
the button and lift or lower via pressing the UP or DOWN but-
ton. Only for short operation into a secure position.
