b) Electrical connection
The mains socket to which the device is connected must be easily accessible so that the fog
machine can be separated from the mains voltage quickly in case of an error.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause po-
tentially fatal electric shock.
Make sure that no cables are lying around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent ac-
cidents.
Convince yourself that the device is switched off before you connect it to the power supply.
Ensure before plugging in the mains plug that the device voltage indicated on the rating plate
corresponds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does
not correspond to the available mains voltage. Incorrect supply voltage may lead to irreparable
damage to the device and danger to the user.
• The fog machine may be directly controlled via the operating unit at the fog machine or via a DMX con-
troller.
• The operating unit can be removed from the fog machine
For this, loosen both knurled screws. The operating unit may
be pulled out now. Use the operating unit as a wire-bound
remote control now. The cable length is approx. 2.5 m.
• Install the connection cable for the remote control up to the
site from which you are going to control the device.
• If you want to control the fog machine via an external DMX
controller, connect the 3- or 5-pin DMX connection (12/11) to
the output of your DMX controller.
• Connect the 3- or 5-pin DMX connection (12/11) with the DMX input of the subsequent device. If the fog
machine is the last or only device in the DMX chain, plug a plug with end resistors in here.
• Plug the mains plug into a mains socket with a protective ground contact for operation of the device.
However, do not plug in the mains plug. Before connecting the device to the power supply, you first have
to fill the tank with fog liquid (see "Operation").
