OPERATING THE TOOL

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

ƒ Disconnect air hose.
ƒ Clean the magazine. Remove dust and other debris that
may have accumulated in the magazine.
ƒ Lubricate the tool rail with pneumatic tool oil.
ƒ Check that the tool feeder slides smoothly by pulling it
with your finger. If it does not slide smoothly, staples can
be driven at an irregular angle and injury may occur.
ƒ In case of frequent jams, contact an authorized service
center.
A QUALIFIED PERSON SHOULD PERFORM
REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE.
Do not drag tool across work piece while fastening.
ƒ The driver tip is extremely fine. If the nose of the tool
is accidentally dragged across the surface before the
driver returns into the tool body, then the driver could get
caught and be damaged.
Do not pull trigger if you suspect a jammed staple.
ƒ If no staples are driven when the trigger is pulled, STOP.
Disconnect air supply from the tool.
ƒ Do not pull on the trigger again. Check to make sure
there are no jammed staples in the nose area.
ƒ Release E-Z clear latch and open door. Remove jammed
fastener. Close door and latch.
ƒ Connect air supply and replace fasteners.
1
Keep your tool lubricated.
1
ƒ Put one to two drops of tool oil into the air inlet for about
every 2,000 staples driven. If an in-line oiler is used,
lubrication through the air inlet is not required. Don't over
lubricate your tool.
Driver life expectancy is dependent on operating
conditions.
ƒ The driver life expectancy is highly dependent on the
operating air pressures, staple lengths, staple quality
and hardness of wood. Consult with the owner's manual
to operate the tool at the optimal air pressure. Driving
longer staples and/or into harder woods will naturally
wear out your driver quicker.
