Inserting Rechargeable Batteries
CAUTION:
Use only rechargeable batteries and not batteries
which cannot be recharged.
1. Open the battery compartment (7) on the left-hand
ear cup by pushing the cover downwards.
2. Insert the 2 "AAA" type rechargeable batteries into
the battery compartment of the headphones. Please
ensure that the polarity is correct (see the fl oor of
the battery compartment)! If the device is not used
for a long period of time, remove the batteries to
avoid the spilling of battery acid.
3. Close the battery compartment again by pushing it
upwards until it locks into place with a "click".
4. Push the ON/OFF switch (8) to the OFF position. Place
the headphones in the charging cradle (13) of the
transmitter.
Installation
1. Select an appropriate location for the transmitter/
charging station, such as a dry, fl at, nonslip surface
where you can insert the headphones without dif-
fi culty to charge up.
2. Connect the 3.5 mm audio stereo cable to the corre-
sponding output of your radio source, e.g. television
set, CD or DVD player.
NOTE:
If your audio source has two RCA outputs (red and
white), please use an appropriate adapter cable (not
supplied).
3. Connect the free end of the audio stereo cable to the
AUDIO IN socket of your transmitter.
4. Connect the power pack to a properly installed 230
V/50 Hz safety power socket and then connect the
plug cable to the DC IN 12 V socket of the transmit-
ter.
5. If the transmitter is connected in this way, it switches
itself on automatically as soon as a signal is received
from the audio source. The power LED (12) then
lights up in red and shows the operating status.
Before Initial Use /
Charging the Headphones
Before you use the headphones for the fi rst time they
have to be charged up for approximately 24 hours. After
initial use a charging time of approximately 12 hours is
suffi cient.
CAUTION:
Before charging it is important to make sure that only
rechargeable batteries are inserted. It is not technically
possible to charge batteries that are not rechargeable,
and any attempt to do so can damage the device!

1. Push the ON/OFF switch (8) to the OFF position. Place
the headphones in the charging cradle (13) of the
transmitter. The charging diode (SIGNAL CHARGE)
lights up in green.
NOTE:
• Please ensure
-
that the charging socket is connected to the
charging contacts in the transmitter.
-
that the headphones are switched off duri-
ng the charging process.
• The charging diode continues to light up after
the batteries have been fully charged up.
2. Remove the headphones again when the charging
process is complete.
Use of the Headphones
1. Switch on the audio source (e.g. television set, CD or
DVD player). Set the volume of the audio source to a
pleasant level in order to avoid any distortion.
2. Turn on the headphones by moving the ON/OFF
switch to the ON position.
3. Place the headphones on your head. Turn the volume
regulator (4) to set the desired volume.
4. If necessary, press the AUTO SCAN channel selection
button (2) in order to obtain an optimum transmis-
sion frequency.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The transmitter has an AUTO-off function. If the input
signal is very quiet or switched off , the transmitter will
switch off automatically after approx. 4 min.
Channel Adjustment
If there is interference to the reception of the head-
phones, you can change the transmission frequency by
switching the channels. With the channel selector (11)
on the transmitter you can choose between 3 diff erent
channels. If you have set a diff erent transmission fre-
quency, press the AUTO SCAN channel selection button
(2). The receiver diode (3) lights up if reception is ideal.

Switching Off
In order to switch the headphones off , move the ON/OFF
switch to the OFF position.
